I had the opportunity to work as the Graphic Design Team Lead at Slush 2024.
The team leads are part of the volunteers for the event, except they hold a larger responsibility of making sure the communication between the full-time Slush workers and volunteers is smooth. Each team lead gets to recruit a number of group leads, which in turn recruit volunteers. My team consisted of two group leads and four volunteers.
My team's main task was editing interview videos and ad hoc social media posts during the event days. Some pre-event tasks were also included, but I was mostly in charge of them, and the volunteers helped depending on their availability.
